Did you know that Apple’s first logo was the depiction of Issac Newton sitting under an apple tree, which was created in 1976? It was created by Ronald Wayne who was one of the co-founders of Apple. Ronald was inspired by Isaac Newton’s Law of Gravity.

The logo also included a quote from William Wordsworth, a romantic English poet.
“Newton…a mind forever voyaging through strange seas of thought.”

Steve Jobs thought the logo was complicated, outdated, and didn’t represent the philosophy of the company. He wanted something simple and modern.

So Rob Janoff designed the now classic and world-renowned logo of the bitten Apple.

Over the years Janoff continued to perfect the logo, analyzing many apples during the process and simplifying them.

As Leonardo Da Vinci once said, “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.”
